......no I'm not talking about GC. I'm referring to the new comedy, Goon.....based on a true story of a local guy (Boston) who got invited to play semi pro hockey after kicking the shit out of a hockey player who came out into the stands. Sean William Scott plays the lead role......   fucking awesome movie. Loved it. They showed real footage of the guy during the credits, real fights during games......it was a great touch.
Also, Traum....... there was a terrific cameo by the Trailer Park Boys (alot of the movie takes place in Canada). Order it on-demand, good times.....

I was thinking about renting this already.  Glad for the recommendation.  Speaking of the TPB, do you ever watch Archer?  There was a great voice cameo by the guys a few episodes back.

Watched Goon 3 times (almost made myself with the $10 rental fee slap) got better each view. Loved it. And remember....fast forward a few minutes into the credits to see some real footage of Doug Gladd (going off memory there with the last name) he's now a police officer in a town about 10 minutes from me.

I forgot to mention......one of the co stars in the film is the one and only Cotton Weary. Awesome.

Fun fact about him:  his first big screen role was playing a transvestite in my family's favorite holiday movie, Mixed Nuts, with Steve Martin.  I get to see him in drag every single Christmas Eve.

I guess this is getting a limited theatrical release at the end of March. Then DVD in May. GMG stamp of approval.

Well since Steven Stiffler is pretty much the greatest comedic charachter in cinema history, I will always give anything SWS does a try. I hadn't heard of this hockey one. Will have to check it out....

Checked this one out last night and thought it was a real runny flick. Was basically "The Waterboy" with a hockey theme for those who haven't checked it out yet. Thanks for pointing me to it GMG.
