Although I've never sat through and watched 2001: Space Odyssey in it's entirety, I caught about 20 minute of it last night and one scene in particular, impressed me to no end.

There's a scene where a man makes a phone call to his little daughter, and it's a monitor eerily similar to Skype where they were both talking and looking at each other on screen. I thought to myself....ummm....  this guy pretty much had the vision for Skype about 50 years ago (film was released in 1968) 1968, man....    Incredible to say the least.

And it got me thinking about Kubricks other films. I watched Full Metal Jacket the other day....... love that movie. Besides The Shining and Clockwork Orange, any other films of his, maybe lesser known you guys wanna suggest?

The only "classic" Kubrick you didn't mention is Dr. Strangelove, Spartacus, and maybe Lolita.  Some people love Barry Lyndon but I couldn't get through it.  I actually think Eyes Wide Shut is seriously underrated.  Maybe there was too much build-up for it, considering he hadn't directed a movie in 12 years.  Paths of Glory is a good war movie.
