Okay, I was hanging out with a friend that I watch my Netflix with a lot. We were going to watch Ils a few nights ago but he didn't have time. Then the next day when we looked for it it was no longer on Instant. He said he wanted to watch this other movie that I had on my queue, but he couldn't find it. He said it's about a sheriff that saves some people from somewhere (really descriptive, I know) but they turn out to be bad and start killing people or something. He thinks the name of the movie has something to do with the number of people the sheriff saved. Does that sound even a little bit familiar to anyone?

If its a newer movie I think it might be The Crazies. Its on Netflix streaming so it might be what youre thinking about.

It wasn't Stephen King's Desperation, was it?

Thanks for the replies, guys. I know it's not The Crazies, because we just watched that last week. I will check into Desperation.

Good riddle. Let me think about it. Isn't Desperation backwards from her description? What about Legion? That doesn't really fit either.

ask your buddy if there's a scene where the cops pulls over a couple of females and proceeds to jerk off right in front of them...... repeatedly asking "you like sucking cock?!?!"
if so, it might be Bad Lieutenant. Movie is a riot.

That sounds like my type of movie. Plus, it has the Cage in it, right?

Nope, that's the remake. I caught about a half hour of the Nic Cage version (which also costars Eva Mendez who's all sorts of fine) I almost shit myself that they actually remade that movie. The original came out in 1992 and stars a pretty bad ass Harvey Keitel. I highly suggest it.....even if you don't dig the movie as a whole, I guarantee you'll laugh pretty hard at some sequences. edit: Did I mention the original is rated NC-17? I'm sure mostly because you see Keitel's wenus.

Okay, it's not Desperation or Legion. I don't have the original Bad Lieutenant on my queue, but I do have the Nic Cage one. Reading the description though, it doesn't sound like that's it. He hasn't seen the movie he's talking about, he's only read the Netflix description. The more I try to figure it out, the more I think he totally dreamed this whole thing up.
I will add the original Bad Lieutenant to my queue. Speaking of NC-17, I just watched an eye-opening documentary about the MPAA called This Film is Not Yet Rated. You guys should check it out. Basically, the MPAA can rate however they want, and they have abused the power severely. For instance, a quick shot of pubic hair in The Cooler got an NC-17, while the R-rated Scary Movie showed a girl getting impaled in her breast implant and a girl getting glued to the ceiling by a gusher of cum. It's a twisted system.

It's a MUST-SEE for anyone who calls themselves a movie fan. That movie is one of the major reasons that I hate the industry. MAFIAA can take a flying fuck off the nearest cliff. I'd rather support the artists over the industry any day of the week. What's worse? Someone who downloads a song/album/movie "illegally" while giving FREE PRESS to an entertainer, or the industry that STEALS 60% of what that entertainer makes?

Figured it out! It's called Perkins 14. My friend saw it on Comcast OnDemand, not Netflix. Thanks for the input anyway guys. I'll let you know if it's any good.

Never would have guessed that. Glad you figured it out. I've had missing movie titles haunt me for years.
