I thought this was slated for August 8th (this Friday) but nope...  to my pleasent surprise it came out yesterday and was actually showing at the dinky theater across the street from me. Of course me and my buddy ripped a rim rocker bowl of haze, wandered across the street and caught the opening showing of this. Was very entertained.....   really really really solid flick. I wouldnt put it up there with Superbad or Forgetting Sarah Marshall but the Apatow crew still amazes me with their efforts. Daryl from The Office is absoultely hysterical as an ambiguously gay hit man. Rosie Perez comes crawling out of the woodwork as the bad cop. Performances all around were top notch and the majority of the jokes were spot on. Pretty decent amount of violence too.....  highly recommended.

I haven't seen it, but my general knock on Apatow films is they all seem like first drafts. He's had 6 movies that he either produced or wrote released in the past 9 months, and they all seem to be made in the same slapdash fashion. Apatow's movie-of-the-month club needs to slow down and actually put a complete movie amount of work into just one film. Of course, they are making money so there's no need to create a polished product from a financial standpoint. And really, that's all that matters in Hollywood.

It's all about whether the humor fires on all cylinders with these films.  The timing and execution and acting of the jokes are spot on, so the movies can be dumb and it's okay.

Saw Express today and thought it was hilarious.  Glad to see ol' Franco back in an Apatow(?) work since Freaks and Geeks.  He really made this one.

Exactly man. The Apatow films are all about the jokes, facial expressions, etc....   the story lines are all pretty much irrelevant IMO. I thank god someone has the balls to produce raunchy, R rated comedies that deal with drug use, sex, and vile language. I can relate to all of these flicks and for my generation, it's a breath of fresh air. I too was skeptical of the work being watered down....  but when you think about it, the writers, directors, etc...   all differ. KEEP EM COMING JUD...I'll be first in line almost every time.

Saw this on opening day thought it was great. Didnt hurt that I picked up this cute girl that was there with her little brother and I spent the better half of the movie having a classic movie theratre makeout session with her.

I seem to be a bigger fan of the movies that Seth Rogan has written, as he also wrote Superbad. Have seen all of the Apatow flicks and this would probably be in the top 5. Probably am gonna see it at least one more time before it leaves theatres.

Well duh, but whose to say its a bad thing. I'm lovin' it they really need to start making more....although lately they've been pretty frequent.

I made it a goal to see this the second it came out, freakin' hilarious, loved every minute of it!
