Yep..today's the day. For the next two days your ever lovin' Splatterscribe will be hard at work directing his first ever short horror film, Supply and Demand- a twisted tale (written by yours truly ) featuring dismemberment, cannibalism and ironic justice - which will eventually be included as part of a longer anthology horror film my cohorts and I will be editing together over the next few months. It's been a long six months of pre-production, but this it! Wish me luck. Time to go get my splatter groove on.

Break a leg. This is truly a labor of love for you and you should absolutely make love to it, figuratively speaking of course.

Thanks everyone! It's a done deal. Now we set about editing it and crafting the best possible piece of indie cinema we can. Having already watched some of the footage, I can honestly say this is some of the best work we've done to date..it's becoming increasingly obvious that we've done this before. That Creepshow vibe I was going for is definitely present at the climax of the film. It didn't hurt that we had a phenomenal cast, some of whom recently completed work on a few feature length indie projects. When we do get to the editing room, I hope to create a trailer first and then get it online ASAP. I will of course provide my HW family with a link when that happens. Break a leg. This is truly a labor of love for you and you should absolutely make love to it, figuratively speaking of course.
Oh yeah. I made that shoot my bitch.

Here's a nice on set pic from Supply and Demand. In this scene Bernie gives one of his co-stars a hand up.

Here's a nice on set pic from Supply and Demand. In this scene Bernie gives one of his co-stars a hand up. Nice! Here're a few more... * "Give the man a hand!" (OK, predictable.) * Mr. Grothleby had his own way of celebrating Palm Sunday. * No wrist for the wicked. * "No, really... I'm offering to make you an actual knuckle sandwich. What's the problem?"

Here are a couple more pics. One is a publicity still of Bernie doing the meat cleaver thing..the other is an actual pic from the set, taken during the scene when the central character Stuart Biggs (Cary Collins) realizes that he is in danger.

Well, it's a done deal. Post on Supply & Demand is completed and the first version of the DVD was burned yesterday. It looks terrific, but it turns out I gotta tweak the sound a little in some scenes and burn it again this week. That will only take one afternoon, though. For all intents and purposes, my first short horror film is now a matter of fact. Presumably it will be part of a proper screening line up at a Palm Beach Gardens theatre later this month..perfect time of year, considering the content. I'm planning to post some pics from the screening here after ,so more to come on that. Holy crap! I made a horror movie!
