Yeah, I was fine with GMG's list except for the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Those fucking ruled. I actually may have seen a Star Trek movie or two as well. Not bad.

And hey, GMG- by your own past admission here in the hallowed halls of HW, you like at least one set of films based directly on a comic book: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was a black and white comic with a dark edge before it was watered down into a cartoon. Created Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, man. Ahhhhhhh, stabbed in the throat again by another technicality here on HW. Touche, douchbag I'll combat that by saying, at least the original live action film TMNT didn't have some fag dressed up in a cape. Well.....except for Shredder. BUT I'll take Shredder over any one of those clowns in the Avengers. All day and twice on Sunday, bitch. In the comics, The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles actually were in the same accident as Matt Murdock (Daredevil). Due to purposes of copyright, they couldn't use his name.

Happy BurphDay, you pumpkin pie hair cutted freak! Watched a little found footage flick yesterday afternoon from our friends at "Dimension Extreme" called 'Welcome to the Jungle'. About 4 americans in Fiji (I believe) who are on a mission to find Michael Rockefeller, the son of Vice President Nelson Rockefeller who went missing in 1961. His dissapearance in 1961 led to the biggest manhunt in the history of the United States. One theory was that he was eaten by cannibals in a remote part of the country after his canoe flipped. Supposedly there has been several sightings of the man still alive, living with the native tribes. Extremely interesting story..........now back to the movie. Like I said, it's found footage. We got two female friends and their boyfriends. For the most part, not a whole lot happens. Some really cool sequences involving locals and AK47s. But before they find the cannibal tribes, it's pretty much just the two couples arguing in an extremely annoying fashion. Horrendous acting at times, actually. Really bad. One couple are drunk half the time..... anyways, pretty stupid in that regard but the last 20 minutes show some really cool stuff. Not necessary scary but I dug it. Anyone see this?

Finally procured a DVD copy of Larry Cohen's terrific mid 1980's b-movie sci-fi/horror satire The Stuff. Been after this one for a while.

Picked up "The Last Exorcism" for 6 bucks. I love this flick. Great story, genuinely creepy moments, decent enough acting... and the ending is incredible.

Nice man. I have to eventually get Halloween 1 and 2 on DVD as I only own them on VHS (although every Halloween night I watch the VHS and the noises that dinosaur makes during the title sequence is pretty creepy itself) but own parts 4, 5, 6 and both remakes on DVD. My H20 is a recorded VHS copy from Pay-per-view circa 1998, son. Tracking fuzz for days, mayne. And I own TCM 2 on VHS. Best 50 cents I ever spent. I picked up the funniest movie I can recall in several years......SEVERAL..... and hands down Adam Sandlers best character, Donny Berger.... THAT'S MY BOY. I bought this on my way home from work at 1pm, and watched it twice yesterday before I called it a night. Yeah, it's that funny. Get on it. "Remember I bought you that snake!" "Yeah and it died after it ate all your quaaludes!" "Hey...that was the first time ANYONE ever saw a king cobra Laugh.....and I take pride in that. So Fuck You"

I have the Amityville box set with the original trilogy and an extra DVD titled "Amityville Confidential' where they interview George and Kathy Lutz. Fun collection. It's ironic.. out of all of the films based on what happened in the Amityville house (including the remake of the original from a few years ago), Amityville 3D- the first one where they didn't remotely try to present it as anything but pure fiction- remains my favorite. I think it's the creepiest and has the best acting. I also enjoyed the cool little story the screenwriters concocted about a skeptical journalist for a magazine that debunks hoaxes buying the house at a bargain price and moving in so he can write his first novel. Nice touch. Besides, I gotta give love to any movie where Candy Clark gets incinerated by dark forces. As to part 2 "The Possession"..I have maintained for years that a legitimate, mainstream theatrical film about the actual Defeo murders (the crimes which presumably inspired Amityville II) which chose to focus on the build up to, the committing of and the aftermath of the actual murders -without including any supernatural elements- would be far more terrifying and intense than any of the haunted house stuff they've thrown out there. There are all sorts of aspects to that case that chill the blood..like the evidence which suggests that Ronald Defeo's sister Dawn helped him kill the rest of their family before he turned the gun on her. I mean , hell, man, even if his sister didn't help him, it doesn't change the fact that Ronald DeFeo walked around his house with a .35 caliber rifle at 3:15 am one November night back in 1974 and shot his parents and siblings while they slept. That story is terrifying enough without having to throw demons and shit into the mix to sell tickets..

Bought a flick called "Detention". Horror/comedy with Dane Cook. Heard really good things. Attempted to watch it in a drunken stuber Friday night. I don't remember anything other than it was pretty funny. The beggining was kinda weak. Like the main character was talking to the camera? Telling us about herself....literally directly into the camera. Kinda really stupid, actually....but that didnt last long I don't think. Anyways, gotta give it another whirl sober this week.
Hopefully my power stays on as Sandy is looking like a mean fucking bitch right now......god damn it's windy....
