Breaking news tells us that Brett Farve has been traded to the Jets for a conditional draft pick. Great news to me as the Jets need all the help they can get. Grew up in NYC and Jets have not been all that remarkable in a long time. Hopefully he can change things and bring them a successful season. Only moved bout an hour and a half from the Medowlands so I'll definatly be taking a trip to catch a few games this season.

He'll make a difference. The Jets spent alot of money improving their defense during the off-season, and Favre will vastly improve the offense. I wouldn't be surprised if they contended for a wildcard spot. Seriously. And I have no feelings toward the Jets either way.

Remember when people who retired stayed retired? Best of luck to Rodgers at Green bay in his spot as the new QB. I think the management made the right choice. Favre probably will help pull the Jets out of the quagmire, but he's been acting like a prima donna over the last few months and I always have an issue with celebrities who pull that crap.

I hate it when athletes pull that wishy-washy now I'm retired, now I'm not schtick, too. Unfortunately, the Packers handled it pretty horribly, as well, so there's pleanty of blame to go around. I hope the Packers have a better season than the Jets. Too bad they don't play one another this year.

Yep. Had to do it..... Obviously this entire region was kicked in the balls last week with Brady going down for the year. So naturally the NY Times and the rest of the always classy NY sports fan start with the bullshit. The "YAHOOO" headlines regarding Bradys injury....all the way to SUPERBOWL talks of the Jets. Superbowl eh? Looked like it was shaping up for you guys.... BIG win over the powerhouse Dolphins in week 1. Farve tossing big touchdowns. Brady goes down and all of a sudden Vegas opens up the weeks line with NY FAVORED by 2.5?  ?? They're several reasons why the Patriots have not been underdogs for 3 years and Brady is only one them. Matt Cassels last game starting behind the center was his senior year in HIGH SCHOOL. No problem though..... very breesy 19-10 victory in the Meadowlands. Bellichick owns Eric Mangina. OWNS him. So JET fans.... let it be a lesson. I don't give a fuck who goes down.... if you still want to make the playoffs, you're going to have to go through Foxboro first! And it aint happening any time soon!!!!!! |

Yeah, Boston fans ar ALMOST as rabid as Philadelphia fans. Almost. Don't get me wrong. I could care less about sports, but only at a Phila team's game (most notably the Flyers) will you see one guy wearing the wrong jersey (most likely NJ Devils) sitting in the Flyers' section and see him being held down by one Flyers fan and beaten by another Flyers fan. They stole signals....which is why they've won 3 Super bowls this decade and have not lost a regular season game since Dec 2006. Yeah, 2006. We'll have to make a wager come week 11. Maybe decide on a DVD swap of some sorts.... what do you say, my friend? Keep in mind it will be in Foxboro where the Pats have not lost in a really, really, really long time (they've also covered the spread at home for a obsurd amount of times straight).... Also.... little trivia question for ya. When was the last time the Jets beat the Patriots? Memory doesnt go that far back? Answer is Dec 22, 2002. Pretty sad too considering we play each other at least twice a year. |

Yeah, our Rams are in for another long season...
On a side note, I have Ocho Cinco starting on my fantasy team and he is fucking killing me. Plus, I was the number one pick in the draft and I got LT. He's killing me too. I'm starting a 3WR set this week because my RB's suck. Wish me luck.

Dude, fantasy football is out of control nowadays. I think I was literally asked by 9 different people to join their fantasy league. I couldnt be bothered. I enjoy the Pick 'Em leagues where you're only going agaisnt the spread as opposed to focusing on individual players and their performances. Like you said..... everybodys always bitching about someones performance. |
