Bernie Mac died today after he lost his battle with pnemonia.  He was 50 years old.

I didn't believe it when I read it either.

I'm willing to bet that Issac Hayes found out that Scientology didn't really work out to well.

Had read about Berne Mac last night, and though I was never really a fan of his television show I thought his contributions to the Oceans films were pretty good.

As for Issac Hayes on the other hand I was a big fan of Chef on South Park. When he up and quit I was fulfilled by the way that Matt Stone and Trey Parker gave him his exit. Still, heres hoping that Issac Hayes death was slightly less tramautic.

When I heard about Hayes, my first thought was an almost verbatim parallel to what you've written here, MM. Indeed, RIP to both.

Cheap, yes.  True, yes.

I only call them as I see them.

I'm not taking anything away from him talent-wise.  The man was incredibly talented musically.  He also helped to influence numerous other musicians.  For this he has my respect.

The fact remains that he was a Scientologist.  If he died a Scienologist, I feel sorry for his soul.  I'm not gonna sugarcoat that and I feel that I don't have to say anything else.

Whatever floats your boat . I feel for the guy's soul too, based on my own beliefs. I'm just not gonna take a shot at him on the day he died.

I don't look at it as taking a shot.  I'm just being honest.

It turns out that Isaac Hayes died from a stroke.  That's a VERY scary way to die.  Most of the time when people have strokes they don't even know they're having one.

Bernie Mac, while having pnemonia, also suffered from Sarcoiditis.  This apparently affects the immune system.
